Peter Mengede
Friendly rock and acoustic guitar lessons with Brisbane born guitarist Peter Mengede who has over 30 years of playing and performing experience.
A founding Member of New York bands Helmet and Handsome, Peter is a multiple Recording Industry Association of America Gold Record award recipient earning gold records for Helmet's "Meantime" and KRS One's "I Got Next" (with a spare Grammy nomination for Helmet). Peter's work is featured in two editions of Guitar Hero, in Grand Theft Auto, and in Rocksmith.
Peter's international tour credits include sharing the stage with artists including Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, Ministry, Sepultura, Faith No More, Deftones, Silverchair, Tool, Girls Against Boys, The Descendents, Corrosion of Conformity, L7, Melvins, The Jesus Lizard, and more.
In addition to real-world experience, Peter holds a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Hons), Dip Ed, Cert IV Training and Assessment, and is a Working with Children Blue Card holder).
